Appointments and Reminders

Appointment bookings are required on weekdays and are best made online using the link below:

Book Online

Online and phone appointments are available daily. Please note that limited appointments are available via phone on Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays.

Please note: Bulk Billing is not available after 6pm weekdays, on Saturdays, Sundays or Public Holidays. Billing is a at the discretion of each individual GP.

These consulting rooms are closed on Christmas Day, New Year’s Day, and Good Friday.

Standard appointment times for most consulting GPs is 10 minutes.

If you have multiple health issues to discuss, please book a longer 20 or 30 appointment online, or advise reception staff when phoning for an appointment.

SMS or Email reminders will be sent for all appointments, unless you opt out of this service.

Appointment Cancellation Policy

The Doctors consulting from Queanbeyan GP Super Clinic request that you provide a minimum of 2 hours notice if you cannot attend your appointment. This provides us with the opportunity to offer your appointment to another patient who may need to see a doctor more ungently.

The consulting doctors reserve the right to charge a ‘Did Not Attend’ fee if you fail to cancel your appointment within the requested time. Repeated no shows wihtout notice may result in a restriction being placed on your patient record, and you will not be able to make further appointments.

Repeat Prescriptions, Referrals and Medical Certificates

From 1 July 2022 no prescriptions, referrals or medical certificates will be issued outside of a consultation, the consulting GP’s have a duty of care to ensure that repeat medications and referrals remain appropriate, and a short consultation is require to check on this. These appointments can generally be accomodated on the same day if urgent.

Results

Test results, or requests from your doctors to make appointments for follow up may be advised by nursing or reception staff at your doctor’s discretion, and urgent results will be advised in person by your doctor or a practice nurse.

Fees

Please note Doctors consulting from Queanebeyan GP Super Clinic are independant contractors and DO NOT bulk bill however may offer consultations at a concessional rate based on your financial or pension status. A seniors card is not a valid concession card and discounts will not apply.

The GP’s are conscious that some of our patients are unable to afford the out of pocket fee; therefore they will offer bulk billing to children under the age of 5, DVA Gold Card Holders, Concession Card holders over the age of 75 and ATSI patients registered for CTG with the practice.

This change is required so that GP’s can continue to provide you and your family with high quality healthcare whilst alos covering the ever increasing costs of running a business.

Your doctor will explain any additional costs to you and obtain your consent prior to any treatment received.

Please remember that it is not the reception staff that determine the billing. It is at the discretion of the Individual Doctor. If you are experiencing financial stress please discuss payment options with the GP or the manager.

Patients wishing to have work injury visits charged to a third party must provide a written authority or proof of claim. i.e. Comcare or Work Cover claim number, or a letter from your employer. If these authorities are not available, you are responsible for your account and claiming your refund from your employer or insurer.
